Welcome to www.silkehildebrandt.com, operated by Silke Hildebrandt - The Life Design Company (also referred to hereafter as “we”, “our”, and “us”). This page states the Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) under which you may use this Website. Please read this page carefully.

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and any services provided by Silke Hildebrandt - The Life Design Company ("the Company"). By accessing this website, booking a service, purchasing a product, or engaging with the Company in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this website or any services offered through it. The Company reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will apply to future bookings and agreements unless otherwise agreed between the parties.

2. Services

The Company provides services including, but not limited to:

  • Coaching

  • Grief counselling

  • Workshops

  • Training sessions

  • Speaking engagements

  • Educational content

  • Digital resources

  • Books and publications

The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services where reasonably necessary. This shall not affect services that have already been contractually agreed unless circumstances arise that make performance impossible or unreasonable.

3. Nature of Services

Coaching and grief counselling services are intended to provide support, education, reflection, and guidance. They do not constitute medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, crisis intervention, legal advice, financial advice, or any other regulated professional service.

Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, healthcare choices, and outcomes.

4. Booking and Payment

Fees for services will be communicated prior to booking.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Individual sessions must be paid in full before the scheduled appointment.

  • Corporate services may be invoiced according to the terms stated in the proposal or contract.

  • Payment is due within the timeframe specified on the invoice.

Failure to make payment may result in postponement, suspension, or cancellation of services.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Individual Clients

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled session. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment, the full session fee may be charged.

Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of the Company in cases of emergency or exceptional circumstances.

Workshops and Group Programmes

Workshop registrations are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. Where a refund policy applies, it will be communicated separately.

Corporate Clients

Cancellation terms for corporate workshops, speaking engagements, and consulting services will be specified in the relevant proposal, quotation, or contract.

6. Client Responsibility

Clients acknowledge that meaningful change, personal growth, grief integration, and life transitions involve individual effort and personal responsibility. The Company makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, results, or specific achievements. Clients remain solely responsible for decisions made and actions taken during or following any service provided.

7. Confidentiality

The Company treats client information with respect and confidentiality.

Information shared during coaching or grief counselling sessions will not be disclosed to third parties except:

  • with the client's consent;

  • where disclosure is required by law;

  • where there is a reasonable belief of serious risk of harm to the client or another person; or

  • where disclosure is necessary to comply with legal or safeguarding obligations.

Electronic communication cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure, and clients acknowledge this risk when communicating via email or online platforms.

8. Crisis and Emergency Situations

The Company does not provide emergency, crisis, or suicide prevention services. Clients experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, suicidal ideation, or any emergency situation should immediately contact emergency services, a qualified healthcare professional, or an appropriate crisis support service.

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate services where specialist medical or psychological support is considered more appropriate.

9. Intellectual Property

All content created by the Company, including but not limited to:

  • written materials;

  • worksheets;

  • presentations;

  • workshop materials;

  • videos;

  • recordings;

  • website content;

  • books and publications;

remains the intellectual property of Silke Hildebrandt unless otherwise stated. Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, published, modified, or shared without prior written permission.

Clients may use materials for personal, non-commercial use only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Website Content

The content of this website is provided for informational and educational purposes only. While reasonable efforts are made to keep information accurate and up to date, the Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of any content. Use of website content is at the user's own risk.

11. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. The Company is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, or accuracy of any third-party websites. Access to such websites is entirely at the user's own risk.

2. Limitation of Liability

The Company shall be liable without limitation for damages resulting from intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

In the event of a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), liability shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the agreement and on whose compliance clients may regularly rely.

In all other cases of slight negligence, liability shall be excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The above limitations of liability shall not apply in cases of injury to life, body, or health, or where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

The Company does not guarantee the achievement of any specific personal, emotional, professional, financial, or other outcome arising from coaching, grief counselling, workshops, speaking engagements, consulting services, or any other services provided.

13. Termination of Services

The Company reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate services at its discretion where:

  • services are no longer appropriate;

  • professional boundaries cannot be maintained;

  • fees remain unpaid;

  • abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour occurs;

  • specialist support is considered necessary.

Any fees paid for services not yet delivered will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement, cancellation policy, or the circumstances of the termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on this website and become effective upon publication.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Germany.

Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the client has their habitual residence shall remain unaffected.
